Avondale Juniors Competitive

We welcome Coach Rodriguez to our coaching staff. Coach Rodriguez will be coaching our competitive program for Avondale Juniors.

 Coach Rodriguez is a mother of three kids. Her number one passion is to teach her kids the importance of being active. She has been playing pickleball for about two years. She is very determined to always be better so she has become obsessed with the sport.

She has a cycling certification and she loves anything that challenges her physically and mentally. When she’s not on the courts you will find her hiking with friends and her kids or working out at the gym. Growing up she played a variety of sports including soccer and volleyball.  As an adult her husband introduced her to tennis and she picked it up so quickly that she started playing tournaments. She admits to being a perfectionist. She understands that regardless of how good you are, you always have to have the mentality of being a student. She believes in hard work over talent. She’s bilingual and welcomes Spanish speaking students to the program. Her students’ goals will become her goals as well.

As a pickleball player Coach Rodriguez plays tournaments in the 4.5 bracket and her goal is not to chase a rating but to play at her full potential.
