Coach Keith Hastings

Coach Keith Hastings

Head Coach Fountain Hills Developmental

Coach Hastings retired after 30 years in Corporate Strategy, Business Development and Mergers & Acquisitions in the Aerospace, Automotive, Management Consulting industries. A friend introduced him to pickleball upon retirement, and he was immediately “bitten by the pickleball bug”. If he’s not playing or drilling pickleball for 3-5 hours, 3-6x per week, Coach Hastings is usually coaching adults/kids, watching the sport on YouTube or talking with friends about it.
Coach Hastings has coached adults / kids and played in tournaments during the last 3 years. He recently won gold in the Fountain Hills mixed doubles tournament. He has also coached his teenage son, Colin, from a beginner to being a 4.0+ player, and he is now working with his younger son, Dylan, to teach him the fun and competitive spirit of pickleball.
Coach Hastings brings a high-level of energy, enthusiasm and positive coaching style to focus on strategies and strong fundamental techniques for high consistency. His typical training includes a 3-day camp with Engage Pickleball, and continual development with professional players.
He also learned about dedication and hard work in other sports and in his education by earning a black belt in tae kwon do, winning several sparring tournaments and instructing adult and children martial arts classes. His formal education includes a BS in Ceramic Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Coach Hasting’s  goal is to help players maximize fun times and to find their ultimate potential on the court
